Mia Tapia, (left) daughter of Ruth Tapia, and Juliet McChristian, daughter of Alexis McChristian, were born on December 21, 2017 at CHI St. Luke’s Health-Memorial Lufkin weighing in at 5 pounds and 8 pounds 5 ounces, respectively.

Christmas came early for several Lufkin families, and CHI St. Luke’s Health-Memorial made sure their new presents were wrapped just right.

Every baby born at CHI St. Luke’s Health-Memorial during the month of December goes home with a tiny red stocking cap donated by the Epsilon Kappa Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, an international social, service and cultural organization for women. This chapter is the highest degree of the four chapters of Beta Sigma Phi in Lufkin, and for the past 25+ years, the ladies have been designing and sewing the red Santa caps for the hospital’s newest arrivals.
