Dr. Sidney Roberts
As the Medical Director of the Temple Cancer Center and a former Chief of Staff for CHI St. Luke's Health-Memorial, Dr. Sidney Roberts has been a part of the Lufkin community since 1992.
A graduate of Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Roberts is a board certified Radiation Oncologist. He also is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
In 2006, Dr. Roberts was awarded the Butch McMullen Silver Spike Award for distinguished community service. Additionally, the American Cancer Society awarded Dr. Roberts the St. George National Award, the highest award that the national board of directors of the American Cancer Society bestows upon a state-level volunteer. Additionally, Dr. Roberts was named Angelina County’s Healthcare Professional of the Year in 2009 by the Angelina County Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Roberts was named a Fellow of the American College of Radiology at the age of 45, a distinction that is given to only 10% of radiologists over their lifetime.
